We believe that everything you put on or in our bodies should come from nature and be made with intention.

The Wildflower Way is owned and operated by two sisters, roommates, and best friends forever, Aly and Meigan, with a drive to share our locally grown flowers, produce, and plant based products with our community.

In 2020, as the world fell into a global pandemic where everyone spent much of their time isolating, we found ourselves with more time on our hands than we knew what to do with. Like many others during this time, we stumbled upon a love of gardening, mysticism, and crafting. We started to learn about exotic plants, beautiful flowers, and how to use common garden plants to nourish our bodies and spirit. We created greenhouses, discovered the best ways to naturally care for our plants, and started our journey.

Using sustainable planting practices, we built and seeded our first gardens - one for produce and one for wildflowers. We focused on planting pollinator-friendly flowers and herbs to support our local bee population and give back to Mother Nature for providing for us. We used only natural pesticides and remedies - like planting mint at the edges of our gardens - to keep our plants safe from harmful chemicals.

After our first harvest, we realized we had far more produce and fresh flowers than we could ever use. When sharing our bounty with friends and family brought us so much joy, we realized we could bring the same joy to our community if we could serve them the best flowers for beautiful build-your-own bouquets and the most delicious produce and homemade salsa. Thus, The Wildflower Way was born.

Yet, there was still a gap - what else could we bring to our community through our garden? While drying all our leftover herbs and imperfect flowers, it hit us! We decided to infuse our flowers into oils for use in bath bombs, body butters, and other bath and body products. Dried herbs and flowers became the key ingredients for our plant based, handmade products. Our products use essential oils in place of artificial fragrances, providing a self-care solution for those who are tired of using chemical-laden products with overwhelming fake scents.

Now, 5 years after we planted our first little greenhouse plant, we have enough room to expand our garden space and share this journey with our community.

The Wildflower Way

Plant Based

To live up to our promise of being mindful of what we put on our bodies, everything we make is 100% plant based. You won't find chemicals and preservatives in our bath products since we use only the best plant based ingredients.

Handmade and home grown

All of our products are homegrown in our backyard garden located in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. We care for our plants from seedlings to harvest, nurturing them each step of the way. After harvest, all of our products are handmade with care.

Made with Intention

At each step of our process, we gift our positive intentions to the plants we grow and the products we create. Science has shown speaking positively to our plants helps them grow, we take that a step further and encourage our plants to give us what we need, whether that's a good meal or a good night's rest after a lavender-scented bath.

Stay inspired and eco-conscious
